Katherine Jones and Bernadette Barry are headed to the explorer belt this July and
August.
PORTUGAL here they come.
The explorer belt is a challenge where the participants (teams of 2) treck across
a foreign country, doing projects, writing logs, facing language barriers and living on a budget of four euro a day. The teams
must walk a total of 200km in 10 days. They also have time to sight see after the trekking is completed. They stay in the
country for 21 days or there bouts.
Past belts have been held in, the USA,
Canada, Italy, the British
Isles, France and many other European
countries.
This is a real test for the girls but I know, belt or no belt they’ll do us
proud! (That being said, they better not come home without the belt).
GOOD LUCK!!!!
